Congratulations!
Study Program of Architecture UMS succeeded in obtaining the AUN-QA international certification in early 2021 after participating in a field assessment on November 16-20 2020. The certificate is valid for five years (2020-2025). The ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Network was established in 1998 in order to improve the quality of higher education in ASEAN and is responsible for promoting the quality assurance of higher education institutions, improving the quality of higher education, and collaborating with regional and international bodies for the benefit of the ASEAN community. Therefore, the success of the SP-Architecture UMS in obtaining international certification is very strategic as a step forward towards international standard architectural higher education and towards international accreditation. The achievement of this international certification is expected to open up opportunities to participate in the AUN-QA program of activities, and to expand the higher education network in ASEAN in the field of architecture, for example in organizing conferences, workshops, training, as well as student and staff mobility.
This certification process includes 11 main indicators: graduate learning outcomes, study program specifications, curriculum, learning and teaching approaches, student assessments, quality of lecturers, quality of support staff, quality of student services, facilities and infrastructure, quality improvement, and outputs. In order to achieve this certification, SP-Architecture has made the preparations since 2018 covering several aspects including curriculum adjustments, especially in the preparation of Expected Learning Outcomes (ELO). The 2018 version of the CPL was prepared by considering the profile of graduates more explicitly and their suitability with Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach.
